10 questions · Plan 5–8 minutes

Teach, practice, then try.

  1. I DO: Model question 1 and describe your thinking.
  2. WE DO: Work through questions 2–5 together.
  3. YOU DO: Give students thinking time for questions 6–10.

Plan 5–8 minutes with discussion. Nothing advances automatically. Teacher mode keeps answers hidden until you choose to show them. Student mode shows the responses immediately. Changing mode or support level starts a new round.

In student mode, elapsed time starts when a new round opens and stops when the final answer is correct. It counts upward with no limit. Breaks and time in another tab are included. Restarting, changing mode or level, or reloading starts over. Completion time appears in the teacher recap and is not saved after leaving.

Level 1 offers a reference and two choices. Level 2 offers an optional reference and three choices. Level 3 removes the reference; students type number answers or select from all relevant word or symbol choices. Use Tab and Enter, a mouse, or touch. Read-aloud uses the device’s available voice.

Coin designs vary. Pictures are enlarged; bills are classroom play-money images. Coin reference photos: U.S. Mint, as used in the companion lessons. Play-money artwork: U.S. Currency Education Program. Apple photo: Sprinno, Wikimedia Commons, CC0.

Math tools appear where they support the task. Calculation questions may include a number line or drawing space; matching, comparison, and place-value tasks use their built-in models. Each question starts with a fresh working space.
